Once again Microsoft shows its complete incompetence!!!!!!!!! I have seen this error around since before 2013. THERE IS ZERO EXCUSE FOR THERE NOT BEING A CANNOT FAIL FIX FOR THIS ISSUE OR ANY OTHER UPDATE ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me repeat so that it is CRYSTAL CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS ZERO EXCUSE FOR NOT HAVING A CANNOT FAIL FIX FOR THIS ERROR OR ANY UPDATE ERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONE WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The built in Win 10 update trouble shooter IS USELESS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! IF IT CAN FIND A SINGLE SERVICE, A SINGLE FILE MISSING OR CORRUPT, ANY KIND OF ERROR, A PERMISSIONS SETTING, A REG SETTING, ANYTHING, IT MUST BE ABLE TO FIX IT!!!!! THERE IS ZERO EXCUSE FOR IT NOT. IF IT KNOWS IT IS MISSING OR CORRUPT OR NOT SET CORRECTLY THEN IT MUST KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. IT CANNOT SAY THIS SETTING IS WRONG OR THIS PROGRAM IS CORRUPT UNLESS IT KNOWS WHEN IT IS NOT SO THERE IS 10000000% ZERO EXCUSE FOR IT NOT BEING ABLE TO CORRECT IT!! HOW CAN MS SLEEP AT NIGHT WHEN IT HAS SUCH USELESS TOOLS THAT CAN'T EVEN FIX THE ISSUES IT FINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have ran SCF /SCANNOW.
I have made absolutely sure that ALL THE NEEDED SERVICES ARE UP AND RUNNING!!!!!! MULTIPLE DIFFERENT WAYS!!!!
I ran the DISM IMAGE check fix, it completed successfully, OR SO IT SAID!
I HAVE USED EVERY SINGLE OPTION OUT THERE TO FIX THIS ISSUE! THERE IS NO EXCUSE MS FOR THERE NOT BEING A 10000000% CANNOT FAIL FIX!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH MS THAT HEY CANNOT FIX THESE ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RE_INSTALLING THE OS AND LOSING ALL MY SETTINGS, ALL MY SOFTWARE INSTALLS, ETC IS UNACCEPTABLE THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS ERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have done enough coding in my time and I know 1000000% that there is no excuse for updates that fail!!!!!! When you bring in an update to install, the UPDATE MUST KNOW EXACTLY what files, settings etc have to be changed and if a VIRUS can change things that should not be changed then THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A MICROSOFT UPDATE WRITTEN BY MICROSOFT THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT SHOULD WITHOUT FAIL KNOW HOW TO TAKE 10000000% CONTROL LIKE A VIRUS AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO INSTALL THE UPDATE NO POSSIBILITY OF A FAILURE NONE WHAT SOEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I EXPECT A CERTIFIED MICROSOFT ENGINEER TO BE ANSWERING THIS QUESTIONS IMMEDIATELY, FIRST ADMITTING MICROSOFT'S OBVIOUS LACK OF QUALITY THAT ALLOWED AN UPDATE TO EXIST THAT CAN FAIL TO INSTALL ON A PERFECTLY WORKING OS, THEN PROVIDE A TOOL OR WHAT EVER THAT CANNOT FAIL TO FIX IT BLINDLY AND THEN INSTALL THE UPDATE WITH NO POSSIBILITY FOR THE OS TO REFUSE IT. EVEN IF IT HAS TO BE PLACED ON A BOOT-ABLE THUMB DRIVE SO THAT IT WITHOUT A DOUBT HAS FULL CONTROL AND NOTHING CAN STOP IT FROM INSTALLING THE UPDATE ON THE TARGET OS.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS NOT BEING AVAILABLE, NO EXCUSE FOR SUCH INCOMPETENCE EXCEPT FOR GREED
OR LAZINESS!!!!!
Get your act in gear and get it FIXED MICROSOFT!!!!!!
If anyone out there can help with a fix, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Please do not offer fixes that don't work such as using the scf /scannow option which does not fix it. I need more advanced help which is why MS should be going out of their way to provide it. Even if they have to fly an engineer out to me to personally fix it so that I do not lose a single setting or piece of installed software etc.
Thanks again to all who can help, please fell free to add your own complaints to Microsoft for not providing cannot fail fixes for updates etc. The more Loudly worded complaints the better! Lots of capital letters as they should be able to hear the cry's with their heads in 1000 feet of cement 100 miles below the ocean!
I am running Win 10 Ent V1909, with All the May 2020 updates installed and all but the cumulative June 2020 updates installed. I have tried manually installing them, downloaded them many times to ensure nothing was corrupt. Tried letting the OS do the install, it failed multiple times also, NO EXCUSE! It also kept trying to install the outdated June 2020 update instead of the new one released June 15th 2020. NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! (The date on the PC is correct)
