Windows 10 Edge Home Page

I recently installed the new version of Edge but I have a problem when opening new instances. I have setup Edge to start up on my selected home page which works fine when you initially open it. If you subsequently open another instance by right clicking on the taskbar icon and selecting "Microsoft Edge" or "New Window" from the context menu Edge opens at the new tabs page instead of my chosen home page.

It's like it sees the new window / instance as a new tab?

Is there some way to fix this as its really annoying having to press the home page button every time a new window is opened.
