So, I downloaded CheatEngine 7.0. Not knowing of the possible malware that may come with it I just installed it without further thoughts. After learning of the malware in the installer (and now my computer), I wanted to remove it.
Now I'm left with exactly 22 Entries of "PUA:Win32/FusionCore" and 1 Entry called "App:Cheat_Engine_BundleInstaller". The problem is: I can't remove it.
The "Actions" windows defender can take do absolutely nothing. I cant remove or quarantine these entries. However, the files these entries are refering to I already wiped off my disk. The Regkeys of the BundleInstaller don't seem to exist as well.
The entries for "FusionCore" are all referencing the same files (Don't exist anymore)
- file: C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 7.0\Cheat Engine.exe
- file: C:\Users\[USER]\Downloads\CheatEngine70.exe
And there's the entry for the "BundleInstaller" (It's in german, but the path's are universal of course)
I can't find those entries in regedit and the files are deleted like I said.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
