I have a Samsung Note 8 that regularly pesters me to switch my default apps from Chrome, Gboard, Drive,
One storage, Calendar etc. And will sometimes trick me! Imagine struggling to locate some obscured setting that will disable an app you dont want or use, but somehow enabled.
But the conflicting apps on my PC are worse than my phone. Windows in Microsoft crashes Chrome, it uses Edge, Bing and its own store, not compatible with much on PlayStore. has its own Photos and storage and so forth. How come I dont see this question more?
*I really need o get virus and malware protection but I dont know who to trust. Who is the one to trust? Microsoft or Google?
* I have years invested in Google, im happy with Chrome.
* Are the proprietary apps safer as they claim?
