I have been running weekly thorough AV scans for as long as I have had my PC. Never did I see any viruses or malware.
Yesterday however I got this when opening Windows Security Settings
I then ran the Microsoft Safety Scanner v1.0, (build 1.319.2117.0) and this is what it came up with:
Found HackTool:Win32/Agent, partially removed.
Found Trojan:Win32/CoinMiner.C!rfn and Removed!
Found Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!plock and Removed!
Found VirTool:Win32/DefenderTamperingRestore and Removed!
Looking up these threats on MS Community forum I see all the topics on these issues are several years old with closed or locked topics. The way I see it is that these are old threats yet Windows Defender never caught them.
I am also not able to download the Windows 2004 update and keep getting this msg:
Shows that checked over two weeks ago which I know for a fact is not true as I have checked three times in the past week
Please advice
