I've downloaded a text plugin for adobe after effects and right after installing it windows defender notified me that it has detected "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!rfn."
I got scared and clicked the option to remove it.
Now windows defender says:
Threat blocked.
Status: Removed
I took the extra precaution and ran a malwarebytes (free) scan including scanning for rootkits in safe mode, scanning my OS drive and my 2TB storage drive. It ran for 4 hours and found nothing. After that I ran the windows defender offline scanner and it found nothing too.
Am I safe from this malware now? How can I make sure that it's really gone from my system?
