Good morning.
On Friday 7th August we started to receive a number of malicious emails from our ionos mailboxes.
These emails are copies of emails we have previously received from a known sender.
Essentially, I will have received an email from a known sender at some point in the past. I have then received a copy of that email from an unknown sender which then has a .doc attachment which is obviously suspicious.
I have changed our mailbox passwords. this has not stopped the emails.
I have run both Windows Defender online and offline scans
I have also run a sophos (free) which has not detected any threats.
These are particularly dangerous as they are a carbon copy of an email i have previously received. meaning whatever is sending them has access to my or another users inbox.
any ideas? help? TIA
