Some one please answer this question. (See a previous question that was posted over 1 year ago and is now closed)
This question has been floating around since 2016. There have been a few responses, but No one answers the real question - IS THIS REALLY MALWARE? OR Is it just Defender giving a False Positive and therefore safe to install?
Someone, more knowledgeable than this simple know nothing about computers person, please respond.

PED Basic download from Brother seen as Trojan
I'm still trying to get this resolved. The Windows 10 download for Brother PED basic is being seen as a Trojan and Windows Defender immediately catches it, quarantines and won't allow it to install. I wrote to Brother support and they basically told me that their downloads were 100% Virus free and that if I was having problems with it that I needed to go back to the vendor of the virus program, that is you, so that is what I am doing so I hope someone can help me with this. I saw some a previous post that spoke to this problem but it was locked and I could not get any information. Please assist, thank you
