I purchased a brand new laptop Monday (1/18/2021), recieved it Tuesday. Worked amazingly. Super fast, just great all around. Wednesday night, I get a notification that McAfee needs to update. I made the mistake up allowing the laptop to restart in order to do the update. Ever since, I can't do a thing. I've tried to a restore/recovery, doesn't allow me. Can't open settings. Attempted to uninstall via add/remove programs. Let's me select the program, click uninstall. After a few minutes, the screen does that faded black and normally, a box would come up to confirm the uninstall. Nothing. Just pops back to normal.
