Since the public discovery of this Windows bug/malware, I got it on my computer. I know right where it is, attached to an XBox folder, but how do I get rid of it? I stopped the "problem with the drive and reboot" notice, but I have to stop it from rebooting every time I have to reboot for something, such as a Windows update or some programs. And, what if I let the disc scan happen? Will I eventually get unlucky and my computer go through reboot hell or blue screen?
Microsoft said it was working on a fix, but it is quite annoying, and I have a feeling that it already took down one of my drives. I was able to recover it after a day.
I found a workaround on some website, but it didn't work for me.
