Hello,
I have a Windows 10 and was on Microsoft Edge when I click on a website about a Nobel Prize winner and all of a sudden something downloaded -- I think it was a PDF, but I've since deleted it. In any event, by accident I opened the document while trying to close it. I've run Windows Defender and Malwarebytes and both showed no infections; however, I'm a bit worried. I am posting a picture of the lock icon on my Microsoft Edge's URL because it now contains a dot in it, and I can't remember if a dot's supposed to be there or not. If the picture of the lock is "incorrect," I'll do a factory restore on my laptop.
The laptop does not seem to be behaving differently although it appears to be a bit louder, and by that I mean static; however, I've been watching a long movie and it could simply be over-heated.
Here's the picture. If anyone has advice, please reply.
Thanks,
Daffy D
