I am having problems with extremely slow running of my laptop - can take a minute or more for a website to load, despite a speedtest showing my internet connection is above 100mbps so wanted to perform a full scan. I went into Start, Settings, Update & Security, Windows Security.
When I click on Virus & Threat Protection I get this window .....
It looks like Acronis Antivirus has taken over from Defender and I cannot find out how to re-activate Defender in preference to Acronis. I don't recall ever agreeing to have Acronis, which I have installed for backup, to be my default threat protection utility. Can anyone advise how to make the change? Do I need to uninstall Acronis? How can it be so difficult to re-activate a Microsoft utility on a platform running Win 10 Pro?
And of course, I still need to get to the bottom of my system running very slowly from time to time.
