I run a full scan in ms security and my cpu usage was 100% and throughout the scan only antimalware service executable was taking 90% cpu

this is not good, firstly ms security is taking 100% cpu and secondly throughout scan only antimalware service executable is taking about 90% cpu. I mean ms security only scans for malwares??
