Twitter on Tuesday issued another update to its iOS application following an outpouring of public disgust with the app’s new “Quick Bar” feature. Twitter 3.3 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch was released just last week, and among its new features was a Quick Bar that the Twitter team seemed quite excited about. The feature placed a semiopaque banner that hung over the top of users’ main Twitter timelines and displayed a combination of ads and trends. Users were not impressed. In fact, they almost unanimously seemed to loathe the new feature, and many were quite vocal with their feelings on the matter. Thankfully, Twitter was quick to react — version 3.3.1 of the iOS app pins the Quick Bar to the top of the timeline and prevents it from obstructing tweets. For those of you who haven’t already defected, the new version is available immediately in the App Store.
