Even though manufacturers keep running away from Windows RT, chipmaker Nvidia is sticking by its commitment to make GPUs for devices based on Microsoft's tablet operating system. Rene Haas, Nvidia's vice president of computing products, told ComputerWorld this week that his company still believes Windows RT has a bright future ahead of it despite many analysts' projections that the platform looks like it's headed for the same graveyard now occupied by webOS and Symbian. In particular, Haas said that he viewed Microsoft's decision to slash prices on the Surface RT as a positive sign because it meant that more consumers would get to experience the platform.
