If you missed Motorola's Cyber Monday sale on the the company's flagship Moto X, but are still looking to get your hands on the phone at a reasonable price, you're in luck. Motorola announced on Wednesday that the price of its hero phone without a contract has dropped to $399 to ring in the new year. This is not a promotion or a limited-time offer — according to a post on the Motorola Blog, the $100 price drop will be permanent. The price is currently available at every major U.S. carrier, and pairs especially well with AT&T's new Mobile Share Value plans, which promise to save customers with unsubsidized phones up to $130 a month depending on data allotment.
