One organization that continues to take advantage of the benefits of smartphones as a tool for users is the American Red Cross. They are back again with the release of their new Swim by American Red Cross app. The app gives Android users the capability of tapping into the organization’s 100 year old Learn to Swim program to help parents teach their kids water safety and how to swim.

The app includes a parent reference tool to the Learn to Swim program in the form of skills and objectives, locating Learn to Swim facilities and classes, performance charts, a variety of progress tracking options, and content tailored to kids. Besides the basics of learning to swim, safety content about different environments and how to react to water emergencies is included.

The Swim by American Red Cross app is free to download from Google Play, so hit one of the download links below.
