While most smartphone buyers are content to get their hands on the latest, greatest devices, manufacturers have discovered there is a small contingent that is looking for something more, something with a little bling. Thus, companies like HTC, Apple and Samsung have all produced gold versions of their top tier devices. LG is joining the ranks of gold edition smartphone producers based on a listing on Taiwan site ePrice showing a gold LG G2.
According to the site, official pricing has not yet been released by LG, but the suggested retail price listed by ePrice is 16,900 yuan ($562 USD) for a 32GB model and 14,900 yuan ($496 USD) for a 16GB model. The gold LG G2 appears to be slated for release on January 31 in celebration of the Lunar New Year. No word has been released on whether the device will make its way out of the Taiwan market to other locations around the globe.
