After being in beta for quite some time, Google has released a stable version of Chrome 32 – and it’s a big one. If you’re on Windows 8, you now have a Chrome OS-style interface complete with its own windowing system and a web app launcher. If you aren’t on Windows 8, you’ll still get malware blocking, and notifications whenever tabs are playing audio or using your webcam. There’s also now a beta supervised users feature for parents to review their children’s browsing habits.A full list of the big changes:
- Tab indicators for sound, webcam and casting
- A different look for Win8 Metro mode
- Automatically blocking malware files
- A number of new apps/extension APIs
- Lots of under the hood changes for stability and performance
