Ever wonder what some of Android’s most popular devices looked like in prototype phase? Engadget was able to get their hands on an HTC One prototype. The most obvious change is the switch from three to two capacitive buttons below the display. Instead of keeping the multitasking button, HTC opted to put its name between the back and home buttons; however, Engadget notes that the button was not active. Also, this prototype is not made out of the aluminum that made the device wildly acclaimed. The prototype looks like it has a polycarbonate casing.
