A number of rumors have been flying around in the past few months about new handsets that could have either Android or Windows Phone installed on the same device. One company has gone ahead and made one of those devices. The company is Bluebird, a Korean manufacturer and they call their new handset the BM180.
Interestingly enough the press release for the device mainly focuses on Windows Embedded 8 Handheld which is based on Windows Phone 8 Core. Despite the press release the handset makes use of Android 4.2 as well as Windows Embedded 8 Handheld.
Bluebird is one of a number of companies that have signed up to the Windows Embedded 8 Handheld program, along with the likes of Panasonic and Ingenico.
The Bluebird BM180 press release also states that the device is really meant for enterprise customers rather than consumers, and that a number of U.S. retailers are set to buy the device.
