Verizon introduced Edge back in July to answer T-Mobile’s Jump program. Sprint’s answer didn’t work and it looks like Verizon, while not ending the program, is making some adjustments to it. Previously, Edge required customers to have 50% of their device paid for after six months. Now it has been cut to thirty days. Yes, days. So if you pay for least 50% of your device after just one month, you can get a new device.
The carrier tells CNET that this is a promotion; however, there is no end date penciled in just yet. And while you are at it, trading in your current smartphone can get you at least a $100 Verizon gift card and a free activation. This promotion ends March 31.
