Android Device Manager was a brilliant, much needed addition to Android back in August that allows users to remotely locate and wipe a lost or stolen device. In addition, you can change the password, lock the screen, and make the device ring so you can easily find it.
Today’s update to the client adds an extra level of protection. A password will now be required every time the app is opened, and every time you switch accounts. This should prevent people from getting on your device and making unwanted changes to the security settings. Check out the updated app via the download link past the break.
