The NFL Network and ESPN may not be doing enough to give fans a premier football experience. Enter NFL Now. Today in New York City, home of Super Bowl XLVIII (which is really in New Jersey), Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the fully personalized video service that will launch in time for the start of the 2014 season.
NFL Now will deliver news, highlights, interviews, and analysis content to computers, smartphones, tablets, and video game consoles. To create the personalized experience, users select their favorite team(s) and fantasy players in addition to liking and disliking videos. In the United States, the league and Verizon will team up to make NFL Now available through the NFL Mobile app. Gillette, Microsoft, and Yahoo are all partners aside from Verizon. NFL Now will launch for free; however, a premium version will be available delivering premium content for a monthly fee.
