Samsung Poland recently announced the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, essentially a budget friendly Note 3. While it is deemed as a budget Note 3, the specs are much better than any other low, or even mid tier, device. The Neo comes in two formats, a 3G and LTE+ model. The LTE+ model offers a hexa-core processor consisting of two 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores. The 3G (HSPA+ 21 Mbps) version will enjoy a quad-core 1.6GHz processor of unknown make.
As for software, both will come pre-installed with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and comes with all of the Note 3′s S-Pen features such as Air Command, S Note, and etc. Both devices will also feature a 5.5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display and the signature faux leather back stitching. Other specs include a 3,100mAh battery, 8MP rear camera/2MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, IR, NFC, WiFi 802.11a/ac/b/g/n, 16GB internal storage and microSDXC capacity up to 64GB.
Certainly not too bad of a “budget” friendly device if you’re eyeing the Note 3. Sadly, Samsung plans on releasing these globally with the exception of the UK and US. Things may change on that front, but for now don’t expect it in those two areas.
