Windows Update not showing MUI packs on Vista Ultimate

yeah and there is no solution for this ...

very strange, maybe a bug in vista?

Windows Update not showing MUI packs on Vista Ultimate

Hello, I am running windows vista ultimate, when I check for new updates I
am not getting the list of available MUI packs. I used to see them but now
they are just gone. Anyone know what is wrong? They are not hidden as I have
already checked there. This is not computer related I believe,
as I have checked on my brothers computer as well which is also running
vista ultimate and they are not showing either.

Or in the new software for Windows Update (updated 24/8) ; or on the Windows
Update Server (we have to wait the end of the WE...).

It is "free" for Vista Ultimate and Enterprise.

I have the same problem here, the list with available language packs is gone
:(

My understanding is that in Vista you can change languages in the Business and Ultimate versions. BTW Vista Enterprise is a Volume License version and the general public is not likely to have this version of Vista.

But the MUI pack that is needed to change the language versions are not free. That is my understanding.

Languages packs were proposed by Windows Update before 24/8 (last friday)
for Ultimate users.
The list is gone since this date.
Free or not free is not the problem.

Fine, but that happend at the same the MUI packages "vanished" from WU AFAIK.
Anyway, feel free to open a call to MS's PSS.

I don't understand "AFAIK" and "PSS". Could you explain me what you mean ?

I just read in another newsgroup the WGA problem has been resolved. But I
don't see any lang. pack in WU...

For information, I just tried to re-validate my Windows. It succeeded but no
result in WU :(

AFAIK = As Far As I Know
PSS = Product Support Service.

Yes, that's what ayou may have detected while clicking on the link
provided earlier ;)
Anyway, the issue you (and not only you) are seeing, may be a followup
of the WGA problem.
