With all kinds of new mobile devices being announced at MWC 2014 and 4G LTE starting to push down into the mid-tier market, AT&T took the opportunity to announce the expansion of 4G LTE service to thirteen new countries around the globe. Outside of the U.S., AT&T already offered LTE data roaming in Canada and the U.K. AT&T said in their announcement that they are expanding their footprint to the following countries:
- Spain
- France
- Japan
- South Korea
- Australia
- Hong Kong
- Switzerland
- Malaysia
- Russia
- Singapore
- Guam
- Philippines, and
- Antigua & Barbuda.
AT&T also pointed out that they have agreements in place to provide roaming services in over 200 countries. They also announced a new app for mobile devices to help customers track their data usage as they travel abroad. The International Travel App was released to Google Play today.
