For users of Twitter on Android, there are a number of options and each one a little different than the others. Many people automatically assume that the best Twitter app is the one made by Twitter itself, but that’s not always the case. For some people, it may be appropriate to get a third party app instead. Here is a list of some of the best Twitter apps available. Head on past the break to get started.
1. twicca by Tetsuya Aoyama

One of the more complex features that the app includes is the ability to tag people you know so that their tweets are color coded. This allows the user to be able to distinguish between other users much quicker. Apart from that, users can take advantage of geo tagging, image previews, tweet filtering and so on. All that at the sweet price of nothing!
2. Tweetcaster for Twitter by OneLouder Apps

Not only is Tweetcaster powerful and easy to use, but it is also highly customizable. Users can choose from 12 different themes, as well as choose from a number of different filters for their photos when they upload them. And the best part of all of this? Tweetcaster is free!

3. Twitter by Twitter

The official Twitter app doesn’t have any surprises, but sometimes that’s the way we like it. The app is fairly intuitive, and while it doesn’t necessarily allow for anything extremely powerful, most people won’t mind that.
4. Hootsuite by Hootsuite

While Hootsuite may be a little much for a personal account, for businesses it’s perfect. In fact, it’s designed specifically for team collaboration. It also gives the user analytics capabilities in order to better streamline their Twitter use, meaning users can better interact with other users. For Twitter management, Hootsuite is surely one of the most feature-packed.
5. Robird by Aaplab LLC

Robird features push notifications, the ability to upload multiple images, username auto-complete, and so on. While it will cost you $1.99, if it’s simplicity and ease-of-use that you want, then look no further than Robird!
6. Talon for Twitter by Klinker Apps

Talon is one of the newer apps on the list, and boasts a long list of great features. While it will cost you $1.99, that may just be worth it for you. Talon has been getting great reviews since it first came out, and there certainly is good reason for that.
Talon includes full screen layouts, the ability to log in to 2 different accounts, attach locations to your tweets, customize your notifications settings, and so on. Talon is extremely customizable, from both an aesthetic perspective and a “under the hood” perspective. This is definitely another one of those apps for power users, and it would be impossible to go through every feature that this app has in only a few paragraphs.

7. Falcon Pro by Joaquim Verges

Falcon Pro is a bit of a tricky one to get because of the fact that it has already run out of tokens for Twitter (Twitter only allows for 100,000 users per app on third-party apps.). However, if you somehow manage to get your hands on a token, Falcon Pro might be the perfect Twitter client for you.
Falcon Pro is another of the newer Twitter clients, but it’s also currently one of the most popular. It has a classy and minimalist design, yet that doesn’t mean that it’s not powerful. Falcon Pro is organized neatly and into 3 main panels that have pretty much every feature that the average Twitter user will want. The developers have also integrated YouTube’s API into the app, so you can watch YouTube videos within Falcon Pro’s interface.
Falcon Pro isn’t on the Google Play store anymore, so the download link below will take you straight to the Falcon pro website.

8. Plume for Twitter by LevelUp Studio

Plume is another app that aims for as much customizability as possible. Within Plume, users can color-code their timelines and friends from Twitter, preview pictures on their timeline, autocomplete hashtags and usernames, and so on.
Plume for Twitter also comes with a lock screen widget, so you can control your Twitter, and access Plume straight from your lock screen. It also has Bit.ly support for shortening your URL’s.

9. Carbon for Twitter by dots & lines

The goal of Carbon, unlike other Twitter clients, is to have all your Twitter content on one page, maximizing accessibility for the user. This means you don’t have to go digging through different screens to find the features or content that you are trying to find. All your lists, profiles, trends and so on, are all within easy reach.

Conclusions
As you can see not every Twitter client is the same. In fact, each one is a little different than the others and each one could be perfect depending on your needs. Sometimes it might help to try a few out before you decide which one you like best. In any case it’s certainly worth the hunt when you find the right one!
