We’ve been hearing plenty of rumors that LG’s 2014 flagship will sport a quad HD screen, but this latest leak is the best evidence you’ll see for a quad HD that you’ll see outside of an official announcement. A Dutch site reportedly took two screenshots on a G3, showing the lock screen and part of the settings screen. Want to guess what the resolution of those screenshots is? Yep, a 2560 x 1440 screenshot, or the resolution of a quad HD screen.
Even though Samsung disappointed the hopeful by launching the Galaxy S 5 with just a 1080p screen, it’s looking very, very likely that LG is going to bring an uber-high-resolution to the market this year. Is that going to be enough to knock off Samsung as the top Android vendor this year? Who knows. Either way, it’s going to be great to watch LG give Samsung some serious competition.
