We are only two days away from the unveiling of the All New HTC One (M8) so why not another thorough hands on video review? I have good news and bad news. First, the good news, this video is much better than previous ones. The bad news is that it’s in German, and Google’s closed caption translator isn’t all that effective. Still, you can get a pretty good idea of the new Sense 6.0 and some of the new Duo Camera features.
The video is a total of 14:02, but the camera section is pretty thorough and starts at about 5:30. The reviewer says the main lens is 4.1 UltraPixel and the secondary lens is 2MP. This contradicts with an earlier report indicating at least one lens is 16MP. As expected, the front-facing camera comes in at 5MP. The review does show how you can re-focus images in certain spots, and he even shows a tilting 3D effect, which I still don’t get.
There is also an extreme battery saver option that changes the UI completely. I would imagine it also turns off a lot of features as well, but that wasn’t clear. Speaking of the battery, it appears The All New One won’t be too bad. The phone in the video had about 40% left, and in the power menu, it showed a little over 7 hours remaining. That calculates to over 17 hours total. Of course, I will reserve judgement until I get one in my hands to conduct my own tests, but that is somewhat promising.
Check out the video below and let us know if you notice anything else interesting.
