Hey
my home network consist of 2 computers (winXP and win2k3)
Now I'm about to configure DNS on the machine with Windows Server 2003. The
goal is to have this computer is the domain controller in my network...and
also configure Active Directory on my network
okay the problem is with deciding what zone name to use for primary zone. I
don't have any registered domains etc.. Lets say I use "microsoft.com" as
zone name, would that create trouble for my DNS server? problems like it is
confusing microsoft.com with the real microsoft.com... ???
(it may sounds like an overkill to have DNS, AD on my little network, but I
do this in the spirit of learning how to configure windows network... and
having 2 computers at home which I can play arround with are just fantastic,
although the win2k3 computer has only an Pentium 450MHz CPU....)
Best Regards!
