Server stops responding occasionally

Hello,

We are experiencing an odd issue with one of our Windows 2003 servers. This
server is running Websense web-filtering for our organization. However, it
"crashes" a lot in that the users start complaining about getting filtering
errors almost once every week. When I try to Remote Desktop into the server,
it prompts for domain credentials. Once I click Log in, it just stops
responding at that point. All I see is a gray screen. I have checked with
Websense and they have never heard of any such issues caused by their
product. I have also checked event logs and can't find anything significant.
The server just doesn't come back to life until manually rebooted. Can anyone
provide and help as to what or where to look for any possible errors etc.??

Please and thanks

Re: Server stops responding occasionally

sounds like whatever is causing Websense to start to fail is also
affecting remote admin. My guess would be a memory leak of some kind or
maybe you need firmware updates that type of thing on the server.

Re: Server stops responding occasionally

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply. I'll pass that suggestion onto the Server guys and
see what they have to say.

Thanks
