The first version of Android Studio is upon us as the new integrated development environment (IDE) has exited preview. Google introduced Android Studio at Google I/O in 2013 and, finally, version 1.0 is ready for primetime. Android Studio has various features that make it appealing: startup experience with samples and templates, streamline coding and user interface, performance analysis, unified build system, and instant access to Google Cloud Services.
Google has a migration tool in place for users of Eclipse, the former IDE used to develop apps.
