BLU Products has just unveiled the new Studio 7.0 tablet, which is actually meant to be used as a standalone smartphone. It even comes with an earpiece on the front bezel, which can be used if you have hands large enough to accommodate such an arrangement.
For those unaware, BLU Products is an American company which focuses solely on budget and midrange smartphones. The Studio 7.0 however takes it to the next level with its size. So what’s running underneath this massive smartphone (or small tablet)? Let’s find out.
The display spanning 7 inches has a sub-par resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The device also has a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.3 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, which is quite decent for a budget offering.
As for the price, Amazon currently has it listed for as little as $143.06, which is quite decent for a device of this size. The device is compatible with major GSM networks in the U.S. including AT&T and T-Mobile.
