Samsung has begun pushing its December update containing this month’s security patches to Galaxy Note 5 units.
Earlier this year Samsung fully committed to pushing security patches to some of its devices on a monthly basis. According to a new report, this is the same update in which the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ received earlier in the week. This update should keep some of Samsung’s devices prone from viruses and is very much essential to download and install.
The update is hitting the Indian territory first with other regions to follow in the next few days. It carries firmware version N920GDDU2AOL1 and takes up 71.15MB of space. If you don’t see the notification shortly, check in your system settings under ‘about phone’ and ‘software updates.’ You can also install it manually if you so choose, or connect your Note 5 to a PC and use Smart Switch.
