Pushbullet’s claim to fame was just how simple it made accessing notifications from your phone on your computer. It has gotten some hate for adding payments, but it has also added some new features too.

About a month ago, Pushbullet added the ability to browse your files from a computer, but now has added the ability to send photos. Like everything Pushbullet does, this is super simple to do.

When you receive a text notification on your computer, you can now send not only a text message, but also pictures back. Literally just drag a photo into the text chat box and it will automatically convert it to MMS. The person you are talking to will have no idea you sent it from a computer. However, you will need Android 5.0 or later to be able to use this feature.

Also, sometimes text messages sent from Pushbullet would fail causing frustration for users. Pushbullet didn’t like that either and has made sending SMS messages far more reliable. Before, messages would fail because Pushbullet couldn’t contact your phone in time, but now the messages will sync to your phone and send the second it can establish a connection. You will be able to see the messages that are queued and can cancel them too if you want. However, the messages will expire after 1 hour if they aren’t sent yet.

The Pushbullet Android, Windows desktop, and Chrome extension update will be rolling out automatically. Android tablets and Firefox updates will be coming soon.
