Earlier today, an unannounced Samsung-branded smartphone passed through the United States of America’s official certification authority, the FCC. Information included in the filing suggests that we could be looking a revamped model of the South Korean company’s best-selling mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J7.
Unfortunately, the paperwork included doesn’t disclose anything about the internals of the handset, other than that it will sport a 3,300mAh battery. However, we do know that it is set to pack a variety of different connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Bluetooth Class 1 (Version 4.0, LE+EDR), 802.11b/802.11g/802.11n Wi-Fi NFC and GPS.
Recent leaks, rumors and speculation point towards the Galaxy J7 (2016) packing a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter and 16GB of expandable internal storage. It’s also believed to be one of the company’s first non-flagships to feature a fingerprint scanner.
