Samsung beats Apple in appeal, overturns $120M verdict

Samsung has not had an easy time in court against Apple in recent years and has been handed a few significant defeats in patent infringement cases. The South Korean giant did manage to reduce the damages awarded to Apple in a first instance – the company paid $548.2 million in its first case, just over half of what Apple was awarded initially. And Samsung has now obtained another significant win in a second case, where it just overturned a $120 million verdict.
