Samsung just announced that they have begun rolling out the Android security patch update for the month of February. Devices receiving the update reportedly include the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, and both the Galaxy Tab S and Tab S2.

You may have noticed that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge aren’t on the list. This is because the new duo will come preloaded with the latest patches when launched. We’ve heard from sources that several users are reporting that the update has already hit their Galaxy Tab S and Tab S2. Therefore, the others can’t be too far off.

The update will include all the latest security patches to ensure your device is in the best standing. This includes patches from both Google and Samsung. We strongly recommend you download and install the update shortly after the notification pops up. Make sure you have enough battery in the tank before you start so that you don’t run into problems down the road. If you haven’t received the update yet, try going into settings under ‘About’ and then ‘check for new software updates.’

Feel free to let others know when you get it in the comments down below.
