The LG Stylus 2 is the successor to last year’s LG G Stylo and was unveiled last month during MWC 2016.
Most of the news on LG’s Stylus 2 was covered up because of the attention drawn to LG’s flagship G5 smartphone. Anyway, the device is scheduled to launch this week in none other than LG’s homeland, South Korea. Pricing is said to be 396,000 KRW, which translates to about $328 in USD currency. According to sources, the device will also launch in parts of Europe and North America later this month.
The LG Stylus 2 packs a 5.7-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It’s not the most high-end smartphone out there, but its price reflects that. On the back is a 13MP camera and on the front is a lower-quality 8MP camera that can still take some nice selfies. The device has 16GB of internal storage space, but like so many other LG smartphones, can be expanded using a microSD card. A 3,000mAh battery is onboard and Android Marshmallow is pre-loaded. But the most standout feature is the device’s pen. It can perform a variety of functions and comes with a unique tip for high accuracy and precision. More details will surely be coming later in the week.
