If you’re trying to pre-order a HTC Vive, but having trouble, you’re not alone. This past week, some consumers trying to buy the virtual reality headset saw their order declined by their financial institution. However, HTC is reportedly on it and now working on a fix.
Several users reported issues trying to pre-order the headset this week, which kept getting declined automatically. However, a new report has informed us that HTC has reinstated some of the declined orders and is working on a fix that will hopefully get rid of the problem for good.
In a statement by HTC, a spokesman addressed the issue.
While fulfilling this week’s orders for HTC Vive, a limited number of individuals were affected by auto cancellations due to processing issues with financial institutions. We’re actively working to resolve this, and have already reinstated orders for some customers. We want to assure our customers that we’ll work with them to process their payment so they can receive their Vive when they were expecting it. If you pre-ordered a Vive, we encourage you to contact your financial institution to notify them of upcoming charges.
Pre-orders for HTC’s new Vive are said to begin shipping early next week. In the meantime, if the issue has not resolved for you, be sure to contact your financial institution and notify them of the concern.
