Rumors and leaks pertaining to Samsung’s next iteration Note smartphone are just beginning to heat up. A few weeks back, we heard a rumor that the Galaxy Note 6 will release in July ahead of when it normally does, which is usually at the IFA trade show. Today, the model numbers for Galaxy Note 6 variants were spotted online.
‘Grace,’ appears to be the initial codename for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 6. A European model is listed towards the bottom and a version for the U.S. is also listed. It’s still way too early so we don’t know if these will run different processors and offer different options by area like the Galaxy S7. Most interestingly, all U.S. carrier models will seemingly sport the same model number, which is unlike what Samsung has done in the past.
By doing this, Samsung would be able to roll out updates much faster, considering the fact that there’s less variants to adjust. This is what Motorola has done with past Moto X iterations, and it has been proven worthy when it comes to updates. This would be a great move by Samsung if it holds up, which would be highly appreciated by those always anxious to get the latest version of Android.
