When Samsung triumphantly revealed in its Galaxy Note 7 presentation that the phablet will have a 3.5mm headphone jack in the process, and made fun of Apple’s unreleased iPhone 7 in the process, I said that I’m fairly confident that Samsung will soon copy the iPhone 7. Like it or not, the 3.5mm headphone jack has to go, and companies like Apple have to be at the forefront of such changes so that others follow suit. Well, it didn’t take long for the first Samsung rumors to claim that the company is exploring ditching the 3.5mm connector. (more…)
