For the first time since taking office 40 days prior, Donald Trump on Tuesday addressed Congress in a formal speech. No one knew exactly what to expect ahead of Trump's speech on Tuesday evening. Would we see the unhinged Twitter addict who can't seem to focus on anything other than the media's criticisms? Or would we see a man coming to terms with the fact that he is, in fact, the president of the United States, and that his bizarre tirades are doing precious little beyond further dividing the nation.
As it turns out, we saw Trump at is most presidential on Tuesday night. Perhaps the president is finally beginning to cool off. Or perhaps he's finally realizing that his wild mood swings and the unending cascade of whiny tweets have led to the worst approval rating for any new president in history. Whatever the case, the president's speech on Tuesday was his most calm and collected yet.
Whether or not you watched the speech on Tuesday, it's worth another look. You'll find the full transcript from president Trump's speech to Congress below.
