For the inplace upgrade from NT 4 domain to Windows Server 2003 AD only one
domain, do I need to transfer the FSMO roles or it's does it during the
upgrade. Thanks in advance.

Re: FSMO roles

No it is part of the migration process and done manually using ADMT

Re: FSMO roles

There are no FSMO roles in NT 4.0.

When the Win 2k3 DC is created it will hold all the FSMO roles for the AD
domain.

To explain further you need to upgrade your Windows NT PDC first. This
will assume the 5 FSMO roles of the domain.
