I have 4 gb of ram installed in a Windows 2003 Enterprise server but only 3.5
gb displays in system properties. What do I need to do to utilize all 4 gb
of ram.

Alternatively use Google since this is a FAQ

I usually do. However, I have blogs blocked at work and can't review them.

RE: 4 gb of ram displays as 3.5 gb in system properties

Hi,
I had the same problem. Simply add /PAE (= physical adress extension) to
your boot.ini and reboot your system. The system properties should now change
to 4 GB usable RAM. It has something to do with shared memory from some cards
in your system that use memory the system then cannot allocate (if I have it
correct in my memory).

Greetings

Celina
