My CTO is looking for specific evidence that installing Forefront Client
Security on a Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise R2 SP2) file server is a
necessary step. For the last 2 years, we ran NOD32 on our servers (and
clients), but have recently migrated to Forefront.

Can anyone point me to documentation that states that FCS is a valid
software package for a file server? I can see it is a supported client,
meets the system requirements, but I can't find anything that says "You need
anti-virus on your servers, and FCS is a good choice for that".

RE: Forefront Client Security installed on File/Application servers?

Hello Richard,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

Based on my knowledge, there is no separate edition of Forefront Client
Security for File/Application server. For more related information about
requirement of Forefront Client Security, please refer to:

Thanks & Regards,
