this is just a techy professional curiousity question...

When I test out new applications, like our new MOSS 2007 system
I run thru a couple of different older systems... starting with Win98se & IE 6.x

Most of the very basic functions of SharePoint work,
but the "drop down" menu bars do not... they don't react to a hover or click.

I can't really tell if it is an ActiveX thing, or a Javascript thing, or ???

Just curious...

Re: Win98se & SharePoint scripts

If you mean the combo box(es) don't drop down in response to some events
where it is expected they would, the "built in" Windows command is Alt+Down
arrow keys.

If something else is what you are after, post back with more detail.
HTH,

RE: Win98se & SharePoint scripts

Have you tried adjusting the advanced settings in Internet Explorer 6 to
allow for the functionality that you are talking about?
