Remote Desktop problems...

All--

I have a server that is running Windows Server 2003 R2. I can connect
via remote desktop on the same domain, XP workstation, but can not
connect accross the internet using XP workstation. I can ping the
server from the router, I can log in to the router and see the server,
but I can't connect. I have port and application forwarding correctly
configured, I believe. I've changed the listening ports to bypass
firewall settings. What steps should be taken to accomplish this.

Which error message do you get when you try to connect?
Are there any warnings or errors in the EventLog on the TS when you
fail to connect?

The error reads "The client could not connect to the remote computer.

Remote connections might not be enabled or the comptuer might be too
busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network
problems are preventing your connection.

Pleas try connecting later. If the problem continues to occur,
contact your administrator."

I haven't had a chance to look at the logs yet. I'll have to get back
to you later.

On a side not, I can connect from the XP Pro workstation on the same
domain using the actual IP address (166.xxx.xx.xxx) and the LAN IP
(192.xxx.xxx.xxx). As soon as I try to connect to any of the
computers behind the router, I can't. This to me seems like a router
issue. What do you think?

That seems likely, yes.
Do you have the possbility to replace the router?
If not, I would post to a networking newsgroup, since you problem
seems to be unrelated to TS.
