If you're a T-Mobile customer, you might want to check out the latest update to the carrier's privacy policy. As spotted by The Wall Street Journal this week, T-Mobile recently updated its privacy policy to let customers know that they will have to manually opt out if they don't want to be included in a program that collects their data and shares it with third-party companies. Any users who don't take action will automatically be part of the new program.

As T-Mobile explains on its website, some of the data will be used to "build reports for other companies on things like usage and trends," but these reports won't directly identify any customers. T-Mobile will also use some of the data it collects for targeted advertising, though the carrier doesn't offer any additional details.
